Fuel oil is a dark brown liquid. It is the remainder of oil after gasoline, kerosene and gas oil fractions are separated from it. The composition of fuel oil can include hydrocarbons, petroleum resins, carbenes, asphaltenes, carbides and various organic compounds, which include vanadium, nickel, iron, calcium, sodium and magnesium. Different brands of fuel oil have different energy values. However, the net calorific value of fuel oil is 9000 kcal / kg. We sell M-100 fuel oil.

Deliveries of high-quality petroleum products – one of the main activities of the Business Allianz LLC. The company sells fuel oil – fuel for vehicles equipped with special power plants, boilers and process units. For sale there are two grades of fuel oil M 40 and M 100 that meet the requirements of GOST 10585-2013. The offered oil products exceed the normative values in many respects:

  • Ash content is not more than 0.044% with an allowable 0.05%.
  • The mass content of water is less than 0.1% with a standard content of about 1.0%.
  • Flash point 132 ° C against 110 ° C according to GOST 4333.
  • Viscosity is not more than 6.6 with 6.8 allowed.

Fuel oil provides a specific heat of combustion at the level of 41,130 kJ / kg when recalculating to dry fuel. Its use makes it possible to significantly reduce the cost of heating buildings and structures, as well as reduce production costs when applied in technological processes.

Fuel oil makes up almost half of ordinary oil, which is a raw material for the production of various gasoline, kerosene and other fractions, boiling at a temperature of 350 degrees. Most of the physical and chemical properties of fuel oil depend on the properties of the oil from which it was obtained. Pour point, viscosity and flash point are considered important characteristics of this type of fuel. Viscosity is the ratio of the flow time of 0.2 liters of fuel oil at twenty degrees Celsius to the flow of the same volume of water at the same temperature. Of course, as the temperature of the fuel oil rises, the viscosity decreases significantly.

That is why, for better pumping and movement of fuel, its temperature is artificially increased. In addition, fuel oil is heated during combustion in nozzles. However, it should be borne in mind that in the case, if the temperature of the fuel oil reaches the flash point (that is, the temperature at which the steam released from the fuel oil, in the presence of air and in the presence of an open flame, can ignite), this will inevitably lead to a fire. Therefore, it is very important to know the flash point of this type of fuel oil.

Mazut-40

The consumer characteristics of M-40 fuel oil are much higher than those of the M-100 brand. Such indicators of boiler fuel oils as viscosity, water and sulfur content, mechanical impurities, ash content, heat of combustion, average flash point and pour point determine in what conditions a particular fuel can be used.

Fuel oil M-40 is less viscous than M-100, which is explained by the presence of diesel fractions in it in the amount of 10-15%. Thus, the fluidity increases, and the pour point decreases to 10 ° C, therefore, M-40 at a favorable ambient temperature can be transported and reloaded without additional heating. But the M-100 fuel oil solidifies already at 25 degrees, so it needs heating for transportation and combustion. The optimum operating temperature for M-100 is about 60-70 ° C, which is 20 ° C higher than for M-40 fuel oil.

The flash point of the M-40 is lower than that of the M-100 (90 ° C versus 110 ° C), which is very important. The heat of combustion of different types of fuel oil is approximately the same and amounts to 39-40.5 thousand kJ / kg. The proportion of sulfur content insignificantly affects the performance of fuel oil. Mechanical impurities within 1% in M-40 fuel oil are admissible, but with a higher content of them, the combustible properties of the fuel deteriorate.

The moisture content in fuel oil should not exceed 1%. It is well known that M-40 fuel oil is not very picky about storage conditions, but during long-term storage it can be watered. The absorbed condensate and moisture will reduce the quality of fuel oil – they will increase the ignition temperature and reduce the amount of heat released during combustion, that is, they will cause excessive consumption of heavy fuel oil. So, fuel oil usually goes on sale with discounts after long storage.Fuel oil M-40 is a relatively low-hazard, low-toxic chemical substance of the IV hazard class. However, one should never lose vigilance and violate safety rules during the transportation and operation of fuel oil.
